It was the inaugural exhibition for the Hope & Co Gallery in Hamilton (a regional town west of Melbourne) and it was with great anticipation that we arrived on Friday midday to help Sarah Hope (gallery owner) with the hanging of the exhibition.  This was a new experience for me and not nearly as easy as it looks.  Thinking it would only take a couple of hours was an underestimation.  Getting the right combination of colours/subjects/sizes/shapes is quite an art. However, everything was finally ready and looking really good for the opening at 5.30pm.  It was a fantastic event and incredibly well attended.  Sarah had done a wonderful job promoting and organising the evening and everyone had a great time.  Paintings were sold, champagne flowed, the food was excellent but above all, the gallery just looked spectacular.  The exhibition runs for the next two weeks until August 12. The paintings being exhibited are shown in the ‘Gallery’.
